The principals at City-Core have been working together for the past 15 years and collectively have over 100 years of real estate and institutional investment management expertise. MIXED USE:
MARIPOSA SQUARE
San Francisco, CA
A mixed-use city block
The Best Foods facility located on Bryant Street was purchased in 1995 and completed in 1998. This investment repositioned an existing food processing facility into a mixed-use building combining retail, live/work lofts, a design facility, professional offices, restaurants, and parking. Tenants include Charlotte Russe, Starbucks Coffee Company, University of California, and various other retailers and businesses. The repositioning of the Best Foods facility required significant architectural sensitivity while preserving economic performance standards. Today the building is anchored by Charlottes Russe, a national retailer, and the University of California.
BRANNAN SQUARE
Originally the Gallo Salami factory, this project included both the renovation of two historic buildings and the construction of an eleven-story, 249 unit residential building over retail and parking.
575 FLORIDA STREET -MARIPOSA
This particular building was originally an industrial facility for hydronating corn, cotton, and coconut oils for salad dressing and mayonnaise production while owned and operated by Best Foods (Hellmans), part of CPC / Unilver. It was converted into office space for Williams Sonoma, UCSF, and others. Today, 575 Florida is home to Charlotte Russes central design facility and corporate headquarters.
HOSPITALITY:
THE CHARLIE PALMER HOTELS
Throughout America
City-Core Development is partners with the Charlie Palmer Group (www.charliepalmer.com), a hospitality firm led by celebrity Chef Charlie Palmer.
Aside from the group's thirteen restaurants, many are familiar with Hotel Healdsburg (www.hotelhealdsburg.com) a luxury hotel located in the heart of Sonoma. This property has given Palmer the chance to expand the business into the hospitality industry (with great success as Hotel Healdsburg was just featured on Conde Nast Travelers 2011 Best places to stay in the world). Palmer-City-Core Hotels, LLC is looking for additional opportunities to provide award-winning food and wine focused hotel experiences.
MILITARY BASE CLOSURE:
City-Core has expertise in former military base conversions. No base conversion required more experience at handling the many complexities associated with the mixed-use community than at the Hunter's Point Naval Shipyard. Former bases require successful long-term partnerships with local, state and federal agencies in order to achieve reuse goals that work with land use, environmental, infrastructure and transportation opportunities.
The Hunters Point Naval Shipyard conversion features a mix of residential, retail and commercial development along with the creation of parks, trails, open space and preservation of historic resources. City-Core has the expertise needed to unify and join these features together.
